Kintsugi

By definition- 'Kintsugi' is an ancient Japanese art in which broken objects were repaired with a lacquer of gold or silver, and recognizing that the object was more beautiful for having been broken. This art form is expressed in the show in as many ways possible, from golden streamers flying across a metallic floor to bright and flashy melodies overlapping dull heavy rhythms. The central idea of this show is "It is our brokenness that makes us beautiful".
