I love color guard and marching band!
(By the way, EWP stands for Eyes With Pride!)
You may notice that a lot of my shows are inspired by Broadway musicals, especially Wicked! Wicked is my favorite Broadway show, with CATS as my 2nd favorite!

My drum corps and I reached an unscalable wall.
We tried to climb over but it's impossibly tall.
It's a million feet wide and a billion yards up,
we tried to march through it but it wasn't enough.
There were words on that wall that were scattered about-
words like difficult, impossible, fear, and self doubt.
Sometimes we felt like we wanted to quit.
That wall was much bigger than we'd like to admit.
But we'd pick ourselves up and break down our parts.
We'd drill in our moves till we knew them by heart.
The judges would judge us show after show,
the wall's shadow upon us wherever we'd go.
But when state arrived the words were not taunting,
The wall was still there but it wasn't as daunting.
In the end it was us that the audience crowned-
we made a wall of our own, a wall of our sound.

Show Title
Steely-Eyed Missile Man
Repertoire
This show is in memory of Gary Tollers, long term board member, head of the souvenir program, chairperson for several River City Rhapsody shows, and key part of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps organization. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly while on tour with the corps in Allentown. He was a fan of not only the Blue Stars, but every corps.
Mr. Tollers took on many responsiblities, performed beyond what was expected of him, and earned the nickname the "steely-eyed missile man".
Finis Coronat Opus.
Music: Selections from Blue Stars shows, including "Our Day Will Come" (1970), "What a Day" (1993, Selections from Candide),"To Build a Home" (2014, Where the Heart Is), "I Will Never Leave You" (2015, Side Show), "The Dream Finale" (2016, Le Reve)
