League: AADC The Statesmen are a junior drum and bugle corps from Seattle, Washington. They exist as a defiance to current drum corps standards, being a primarily classical corps laced with tradition and a value of excellence. Unlike most active corps, the Statesmen still march and play in a very traditional manner, with most of their shows being unnamed, and most musical selections still retaining a definite break. Their focus is usually in their drumline, having been known to march timpani and other mallet instruments well into the 21st century.
