The Chrysanthemum, or Kiku in Japanese, is a symbol that represents longevity and rejuvenation. When first introduced to Japan during the Nara period (710 – 793 AC), the Japanese Royal Family was fascinated with the Chrysanthemum. Eventually, during the passing of the years, the Chrysanthemum became the Imperial Family Emblem and the official Imperial Seal of Japan. In celebration of Japan's national flower, Osaka Bay Outdoor Performance Ensemble is proud to present their Season 86 show entitled "Kiku".
