Event Hosting

Hosting an event is a great way to make money for your groups, as well as contribute to the community of FMA. Any group can host an event as long as they have enough money to rent a venue.

There are steps to hosting an event:

  • Choose the group you will be hosting with, and click the "Create Event" button on the Director Overview page.
  • Give your event a name, and write a description of your event if you wish.
  • Choose the date for your event.
  • Select a ticket price.
  • Pick your venue size.


Venue Tiers (Capacity/Performer Slots/Cost)

Drum Corps and Marching Band Venue Tiers

  • Tier 1 - 500 / 5 / $1500
  • Tier 2 - 750 / 10 / $3000
  • Tier 3 - 1000 / 15 / $5000
  • Tier 4 - 1500 / 20 / $8500
  • Tier 5 - 2500 / 25 / $13500
  • Tier 6 - 4000 / 30 / $21000
  • Tier 7 - 6000 / * / $50000

Color Guard and Drumline Venue Tiers

  • Tier 1 - 400 / 5 / $1200
  • Tier 2 - 600 / 10 / $2400
  • Tier 3 - 800 / 15 / $4000
  • Tier 4 - 1200 / 20 / $6800
  • Tier 5 - 2000 / 25 / $10800
  • Tier 6 - 3200 / 30 / $16800
  • Tier 7 - 4800 / * / $40000


Attendees

In order to make money as an event host, you need to get people to come to your event. After you create your event, you will notice that a "Manage Applications" link appears on your Director Overview. Here you will find a list of all applicants to your event. When you confirm an applicant, fans of that group will start buying tickets to your event! The amount of attendees a group brings in is affected by their influence.

It may sound easy, but hosting can carry some risks. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Lower ticket prices will generally get more attendees, even if the influence of the performing groups is low
  • Higher ticket prices require higher influence groups to get attendees

All money from hosting will be distributed at the END of the season!
