Starting with the our novice groups in percussion,

Novice class was a sight to see tonight as the bottom 4 were within 2 points of each other. Rhythm Q had no problem sweeping the captions. If they can break 90 this season, we can see them doing well in the Intermediate A class next season.

No surprise here that Unspecified won Open A. The biggest point to look at here tonight is that 9 groups fell a class. 4 in the World class dropped to A, and 5 in the A class dropped to the Intermediate A class.

As mentioned, World had a lot of bumps to A class. This is the first IIEA show to ever have this many bumps. This could effect the results at the IIEA Championships for placements. On a high note, South Beat almost completely shut out its competition this show, proving that it is excellent in all captions, but Knights Drumline showed that as an ensemble they are much better visually. They were hurt on an individual basis however. Congrats to our winners in percussion, now on to colorguard.

The Novice class in Open is mostly moving slowly this season with the exception of Imperial Sound Guard. They are looking to finally be bumped up to Intermediate A next season it looks like. HCHS Winter Guard did fairly well in Scholastic.

The Envision Guard is also doing better in the new class. Hopefully they will be able to take the Gold at championships.

Congrats to Unspecified on their 10 point lead over Legends. This feat is a spectacular show of World class ability. We can see them eventually moving on to World class in the next few seasons.

Citrus Guard has come on top in this show winning the Ensemble and Effect captions. However, the best work of the night and the best movement went to V. V's tough rehearsal schedule has got these girls into tossing machines.


This has been the IIEA score report. Remember, the IIEA Championships are open to all groups who have been in an IIEA show. You do not have to be a member.

I'm excited to be in solid medal position in FMA DIII, and to be on top in IIEA-D Open Novice (mouthful)!

What about the color guard side of things? I know my guard isn't IIEA yet, but they won the color guard half of the Night Area show in their division.
