I'm having a similar problem. I want to get into as many shows as I can, but when you go to apply, there are almost none to apply for. I'm just now getting into a competition. I know that's not really something you could fix, but it would be good to encourage people to make competitions.

Well that's from a low number of competitions versus a high number of people wanting in them, plus some people not accepting apps. =/

I agree with bando and make it a FMA event if the director just ignores their competition.

One solution might be the ability to apply to multiple shows in a week.. once you get accepted to one, your other applications automatically get voided.

Maybe to prevent people from applying to every show.. maybe have it so you can apply to 1 extra show for every day that you aren't accepted to one.. so if you apply on day 1, you cant apply again.. on day 2 you can apply to a second show.. day 3 you can apply to a 3rd.. etc. once you are accepted to any of them, you are removed from all of the other applied shows.

You already can apply to multiple shows per week? Up to 5 or something.

I dunno. It just seems like people who have to look through applications might be overwhelmed because everyone would be applying to pretty much every competition not filled yet. (as in a group applies for every competition on one day, and so does everyone else. That's a lot of apps.)

It's not that complicated to determine the groups that you will accept into your competition. There's no reason to restrict applications to one-per-day.

Allowing extra applications per day based on host inaction is probably best. That way it also encourages hosts to pick a show date and diversify so they can get the best lineup.

Would it be possible to put on the event page the number of applicants that are waiting to be accepted? It currently just shows the number that have been accepted and the total number of spots. If we see 30 applications and none accepted, it might help us all pick better shows with more active hosts.
