Everything was abuzz today at the New Year’s Eve drumline show “Snaring at French Square.” Before today’s festivities began, there was a pre-show party featuring performances by some of today’s biggest stars. Following that was a light saber fight between a chicken and an armchair, but I don’t think that was planned. After that, we went outside to see the meteor shower, but the meteor didn’t want us looking at it so we went back inside. When we realized it was already 9:30, the first drumline took the floor. However, the judges told the drumlines to go twice as fast so that they could celebrate New Year’s. After rushing through all 25 groups in just two hours, the judges went to sleep and missed the New Year. I had a blast watching these groups; it was too bad that they were forced to speed through their performances. I wish these drumlines success in 2011.
