In band class when we had one of our free days, we watched the finals that Phantom Regiment competed in... And that is really ironic that they lost the GE caption...

Star of Indiana 1993. Such a wonderful show that nobody really "got" at that time. It would have been very interesting to see how that show would do nowadays.

white.. if I remember right, they "won" GE that year.. but they changed it recently so the GE winner went to the highest average score from all three nights.. however they lost to BD in GE on Finals night.

As for shows pre 2000's, 1983 Garfield was the show that got me hooked on marching in general. My high school director came to our junior high and showed us the finals tape and that was all she wrote. I was hooked and immediately signed up for marching band in the fall of 1984. It's funny how things happen like that. One 13 minute show was enough to keep me coming back for more.

@ Prof. I have heard of them, but never listen or saw a show by them. Either live or a video. I am sure I would love them just as much as the ones posted. I love me some old school drum corps!

2003 Phantom Regiment (especially seeing it live @ finals) changed my drum corps life and made me know that this is the activity for me. From the reprise of Canon to the end I was on my feet clapping.

Ballet for Martha- SCV 2009
this is the first show i've ever seen in persone, and this show made me fall in love with Drum Corps. The company front at the end was the moment that I knew I wanted to be involved with Marching Band/DCI for the rest of my life.

oh man... tough question...

I'm gonna have to go with Spartacus overall, but PR 84 has been one of my favorites recently... along with SCV 99, Crossmen 99, and Crown 08... yeah, tough decision.
My real name is Sam...
