Wednesday marked the middle of the season for FMA. Falcon Regiment moved up to Division II this season after a 5th place finish in Division III last season. With the added pressure, and even more fierce competition, Falcon Regiment set out for a more challenging and entertaining program. The Great Train Robbery is Falcon Regiment’s season 4 program, and has been well received by both judges and fans. What has been the result? One 5th place finish, one 3rd place finish, one 2nd place finish, and EIGHT 1st place finishes so far this season. Falcon Regiment is currently 1st in Division II standings, and has received its highest score to date in FMA v2.0— 68.780. The Corps of Unspecified Identity is not far behind, and has flip-flopped with Falcon Regiment so far. Although never beating Falcon Regiment head-to-head, GEORGE is another corps in close competition. The second half of the season should be exciting as Falcon Regiment, the Corps of Unspecified Identity, and GEORGE duke it out.
Centennial Regiment is in its first season of FMAv2.0, and is currently undefeated in Division III. Having not attended a show for five days, Centennial Regiment has dropped to 2nd in the overall standings. The program, Of Sailors and Whales, features music from the concert band piece of the same name. The fan base is growing rapidly for this new band, and looks forward to a long rivalry with the Red Raiders. This is going to be an exciting second half of the season.
