The Red Frog Invitational took place somewhere in Indiana, and since the Red Frogs have no home city, I’ll just say that it took place at a marsh (are there any in Indiana?). As we started taking our seats, we had to watch out for red zombie frogs. They don’t feast on brains, but they feed on thoughts and memories instead. I had to be careful not to have any blissful or intelligent thoughts lest one of those frogs swallow it up, causing me to forget what I was thinking about. Other than that, I had a very fun time at this show. It was fun watching the performers having to constantly bat flies away, and sometimes, someone would march backwards and fall into the swamp. What kept me on the edge of my seat was the appearance of the swamp monster (I think his name is Joe), who would sporadically emerge from his lair and gobble up some of the pit instruments and return home. During the Red Frogs’ performance, one of the performers tried to rescue the xylophone from the swamp monster and as a result, he was nearly eaten alive. After the scores were announced, everyone dove into the swamp and found the swamp monster’s lair. In a clash of swords, spears, maces, and fighter jets, the swamp monster was vanquished (R.I.P. Joe) and the pit instruments were rescued. Overall, I really enjoyed this show, but one of the red zombie frogs gobbled up one of my memories and now I don’t remember how to get back home.
