The Irish Athletic Arts Organization has released some news regarding the success of Season 3, and what we can expect as far as Season 4. Here’s what the Irish performing groups have in store—
The Druids, celebrating their 5th competitive Season, are hovering around 3rd in their first Season back into their classic Div. II position, picking right back up from a FMB Season XI 3rd place finish, and now eyeing the silver medal. Their show is executive director and music writer Douglas Orsborn’s magnum opus, “Man vs. Machine”, a dark show concept that depicts the apocalyptic situation of robots warring with humans. Mr. Orbsorn has been thinking hard on a concept to follow up this award-winning theme—and it’s been no difficult task. Finally, into week 4 of Season 3, he is ready to announce the theme for next Season.
The Druids Drum & Bugle Corps are proud to announce their Season 4 show concept: “Art Alive: A Musical Painting”, using the repertoire of Pictures at an Exhibition and other influences to describe how it must feel to be a painting being created, built upon, nearly destroyed, and put away in a gallery.
“I am extremely excited to do a show theme with the Druids that isn’t nearly as dark as usual,” says Mr. Orsborn, “as you know, we typically like to scare or impress the audience with a heavy, cryptic message. This will be the first bright show we’ve done with the Druid’s since “Bon Voyage!” our first Season show!”
Stay tuned for more updates on repertoire and a more developed show concept as Season 4 draws closer.
