Now that each Dark Horse Performing Ensemble has competed at least once, the shows for the year are now being introduced.

Dark Horse had a very successful first performance, taking the gold medal from the "Over the Rainbow" competition and is currently slated second in Division III. Dark Horse is presenting "New Empire Dawn," a show which chronicles a resurrection and rise to glory of a fallen icon. The show will feature selections by Debussy, Honegger, Shostakovitch, and Gillingham, while also utilizing the corps song "When You Wish Upon a Star" by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington.

DarkBEAT is presenting a revamped version of their Season 2 show. It is entitled "The Release" and features Michael Nyman's 4th movement of his Piano Concerto.

Express's show is entitled "Numbers" and features John Adams's "The Chairman Dances."

STALLION Marching Band will present "Tribute" which is a double tribute to Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King. It features music by Camphouse, Duffy, and Daugherty, while also weaving the theme to "We Shall Overcome" into the program.

Dark Horse Corp. is supremely excited for this upcoming season, and foresees an excellent future for each Dark Horse Performing Ensemble. Each ensemble will be hosting a competition and all four competitions are full to capacity!
