The Pines of the North Drum and Bugle Corps, and corporate partner the St. Paul Marching Loons, both of St. Paul, MN, are spending the night together back in their home state after each won their respective competitions earlier today.

This is the groups' second year in existence, and have expanded to include the 10,000 Lakes Winter Guard and the Wild Rhythms Drumline, neither of whom competed today.

The corporation, headed by mntrumpterguy, makes its primary goal the education of its member and the furthering of the activities involved in marching music. mntrumpterguy has 10 years of marching music in 3 different ensembles, and was a finalist in both of those which were competetive. Looking to the future, he had this to say "I couldn't be prouder of the work these kids have put into their product, and I'm very excited to see what they can do this season"
