Hello everyone! It's time for another report.
Division 1:
1 Mighty Tiger Marching Band 74.460
2 The Marching Marchers 74.430
3 Southmore Hill Royal Regiment 70.890
4 Mt Sterling Trojans 69.770
5 Spirit of Westchestertonfieldville 68.975
Only one major move today and that is that the Tigers, last season's Div 2 champion, is now leading in Division 1! I'm sure the marchers won't give up without a fight, as their director cire has promised to pull out a win this season. Only down by 0.03, the marchers can still catch up if the Tigers make even the smallest mistake. 3rd through 5th place remains the same, with some slight shifts beneath 5th place. BD14 remains out of the Top 5 by a slim 0.115 of a point.

St. Paul continues to dominate the marching band captions, but their overall score does not reflect such. Their current show lacks GE and the judges have shown it, with St. paul witting at 29th in GE music and 25th in GE Visual. The marchers cling to their Visual Ensemble lead by a margin of 0.015. Hussars sweeps up the rest of the captions, despite being 14th overall. Captions are being lead by extremely small margins and with weeks still left in competition, every caption title is still up for grabs.
Division 2:
1 The Pride of the Texas Hill Country 69.690
2 North Shore Senior High Band 67.370
3 Sound of Fury - SoCA - Raiders 66.385
4 Sweetwater 65.710
5 Northwest High School 64.920
Pride continues its lead, but not without North Shore's attempts to challenge the dominate band. North Shore trails by just over 2 points and leads 3rd place Sound of Fury by a full point. Sound of Fury has slipped in the rankings lately, but still holds just over a half of a point gap about 4th place Sweetwater. Northwest rounds out the Top 5 today, but is a long shot from first place, a gap of nearly 5 points. Austin Phoenix has dropped out of the Top 5 by nearly half a point despite competing tonight. They may have hit a rough spot in their season, but I look forward to seeing them return.

Captions are highly varied with moderate to strong leads in each and every caption. This suggests that directors have gone out of their way to specialize their band and pop their name into the Stats and Rankings page. Personally, I find nothing wrong with this but it has been a point of debate in another topic. How do you feel about people highly specializing their band?
As for today's captions, Sound of Corydon has impressively taken the GE music caption, despite being in 23rd place. They lead by a solid 0.7 of a point, so it might be time for them to consider balancing out the band. It could shoot them through the ranks quite quickly. Pride leads in points, but only holds onto one caption, Visual Ensemble. However, they lead in this caption by just short of a full point. It looks like Pride has gone with a very balanced approach, with the exception of that one caption. Organization XIII has slip just above Imperial Sound in the Percussion category, helping propel them into the Top 12 tonight.
Division 3:
1 Sapphire Sound Cadets 70.280
2 Challenger Marching Band 63.450
3 Train Wreck 62.030
4 Musique a l'ecole 59.150
5 Bucaneers of the Emerald Coast 58.750
Sapphire Sound just won't give up and it is clear that they intend to open up that gap as wide as possible. They will be in Division 1 next season, without a doubt. Beneath Sapphire, there is a nice competition for second. Both Challenger and Train Wreck have moved up through the ranks over the last week, but Challenger has always been just above Train Wreck. Perhaps as we go into Finals week, we may see the gap close and things get heated. musique and Bucaneers round out the Top 5, both just a few points shy of second. Again, it over til the fat lady sings, so we will have to wait and see how these bands and their directors perform in the final weeks.

Train wrecks must sound amazing to the judges ears because Train Wreck is leading in both GE music and music Ensemble. Arachnophobia continues to lead percussion, desptie Sapphire's best efforts to close the gap. Sapphire controls all other captions, usually by a good margin.
Special Info:
Top Influence:
1 Red Knights 16294 Div 1
2 Golden Eagle Marching Band 14456 Div 1
3 Mighty Matador Marching Band 13356 Div 1
4 Mighty Trojan Band 11178 Div 2
5 Arachnophobia 10928 Div 3
Interesting to note that not only can Division 1 bands lead in score, but in influence as well. You would think that the Division 2 and 3 bands would lead Influence seeing as how they have the time to spend their energy in campaigns instead of rehearsal. O well. Great job to these outstanding bands for putting forth the effort to get their name out there!
See you all another day!
