Today, a new organization wowed the FMA judges with skill and finess. It was a small show, only consisting of two corps, Willow Arts and the Druids, yet tensions were high as Willow placed second of two, only 1.005 away from the Drum Between the Rivers Champion.
"We feel very confident about our 23rd placing in Div III overall for our first show," says executive director Brittany Ward. "I am sure we'll be a tough corps to beat in the future."
Willow Arts will be performing again tomorrow for a crowd of a few hundred for the mostly Div III show Eagle's Nest Marching Competition, and is currently ranked 23rd, qualifiying them for National Semi-Finals.
They are also sponsering the Oregon Open on September 1st in their hometown of Coos Bay, Oregon.
