Presenting a themed show from each ensemble, GKYO is proud to present the theme “Marching Arts: A Minimalist Experience.” The GKYO ensembles respectively present their programs;

Gulf Knights (D&BC): Drum Corps
Gulf Knights Independent (Color Guard): Winter Guard
Gulf Knights Independent (Drumline): Indoor Drumline
Back Bay Combined Schools (Marching Band): Marching Band

These titles in their simplicity reflect the show design where the organization attempts to capture the essence of the activity.

“We believe we have accomplished showing the building blocks of every marching arts show,” says Executive Director of the GKYO Nathan Picard, who also wrote the music used in each ensemble this season. “Even someone who has never seen a marching arts show before should be able to walk away feeling they saw a deep look into what makes the marching arts the marching arts.”

All GKYO ensembles are set to perform on the season opener at the MACO league events hosted in their hometown Biloxi, the seasonal Biloxi Regional. “We hope to see you there!”
