No one can beat the Line of Distinction. They dominated division two last season and now they've come to dominate division one. However, the Drumming Drummers aren't far behind and they are also undefeated at this point. Also claiming that elusive "U" word so far (the Blue Devils might know something about that...) is the St. Paul Drummer Boyz, with only 0.205 separating them and Drumming Drummers. Mercury, who finished sixth last season now stands in fourth and stands a chance at claiming a medal at the end of the season. Coming from a third place finish in division three last year, the Battered Souls take on division one with a current hold on fifth place. Meanwhile, The Thunder looks to roar back into the top 5 after being so dominant last season.

We have some new faces in the top five this season compared to last season. After barely missing finals last time, The Pride of the Texas Hill Country claims first place ahead of the closely-following Music X Ensemble. No Limit jumps from 20th last season to the bronze medalist position, but can they keep it? BEECHES DRUM LINE is doing well for themselves again and seeks to improve on their 8th place finish last season. Timpani! (I wonder if they have any marching timpani's just like old school DCI?) pounds its way into fifth, coming from the forgettable 37th position from last year.

Who are these guy's? All of these groups were either non-existant last season or were unimpressive last season. Suddenly, they find themselves in the top 5! 1st American Regiment and Bolero are new units this season and they lead the pack. Meanwhile, DaBetas and StarDrums covet the positions above them, seeing that 3rd and 2nd are just 0.1 apart. The White Flacons are secure in fifth place with the Rockers more than 0.3 behind. (Kudos to Rockers for jumping from 85th to 6th in one season).

Sinisteria is getting demolished in D1 this season! >_< We're hoping to come back and break into the top 12!
