A Great Start for The Mountaineers Drum and Bugle Corps!

Charleston, WV, 6/27/2023 - The Mountaineers Drum and Bugle Corps, a world-renowned march ensemble, has just announced its fantastic accomplishment, making it to finals in the 11th place! Running their entire season around 13th place and making it to the Top 12 during Preliminary and Semifinal evenings as they spiritedly performed, captivating the audiences and the judges alike.

The Mountaineers Drum and Bugle Corps has been fervently training and competing all season, dedicating themselves to the art of percussion and choreography. After numerous regional competitions and countless hours of rigorous rehearsals, the corps earned their spot at the top-tier finals held last week.

According to the corps' director, Varadict, "It has always been our goal to make it to the finals. Though this year has been challenging for the entire march community due to the pandemic, we persistently pushed ourselves to make it this far. I'm incredibly proud of our team's dedication and performance tonight."

Making it to the top 12 ensembles nationwide is a tremendous accomplishment for the Mountaineers Drum and Bugle Corps. They have exhibited resilience and steadfastness despite the pandemic's adverse effects and proved their proficiency in music, percussion, and showmanship. The Mountaineers Drum and Bugle Corps has secured its place as one of the top ensembles, and with renewed enthusiasm, the members look forward to creating more exciting and captivating performances in the future.

The Mountaineers Drum and Bugle Corps held their hometown show "Echos Across the Mountain" which brought drum corps to the Charleston area! The Event was 3/4th of the way sold out. The Corps' Director is hoping during S114 that the show will be sold out!
