SHOW ANNOUNCEMENTS

Spirit of Bucktown Drum and Bugle Corps: Th3 Un1ucky Th1rt3en

Paying homage to the superstition of the number 13 being considered an unlucky number, our production begins with the upbeat pop song, "4 Minutes", demonstrating our positive life experiences, withstanding everything that comes our way. Andrew Boysen Jr.'s "I Am", details the sometimes unforgiving challenges life can throw at us. Through all the twists and turns, the piece ends with the hornline vocally echoing the powerful motif, "I Am". We close with Randall Standridge's "Double Crossed", from the marching band production "Agent 54". Our closer continues our battle through life, showcasing dissonant chords and dramatic percussion features. In the final moments, a color guard soloist runs off the field, symbolizing our journey to our next big challenge. Be sure to join us on tour for the premiere of "Th3 Un1ucky Th1rt3en"!

Buchanan High School Buck Marching Band: 13 Minutes

While we all don't look at life the same way, we can all agree that sometimes life is a ticking clock, where moments, days, months, and years pass us by, while we wonder where the time went. Our season 113 production, "13 Minutes" follows our span of life, in fact, in 13 minutes. While our opener "4 Minutes" is not actually 4 minutes long, it symbolizes our birth and the beginning of our new adventure, from elementary through high school. "An American Elegy" follows us into the next chapter. College, marriage, parenthood, and getting older, Ticheli's work demonstrates the unique path we all take that makes us who we are. The echoing trumpet soloist acts as a light at the end of the tunnel, when the band convenes for a final statement that highlights our own self-identity. Our closer, the popular Green Day song, "Still Breathing, shows our resilience in the toughest of moments, our fight to do everything we can so we are in fact "Still Breathing" through everything that comes our way. Find us at a show near you for the premiere of "13 Minutes"!

Buchanan High School Independent: 13 Holes

Symbolized by tattered flags and "broken" rifles and sabres, our production pays tribute to those that have lost their battles with mental health. This powerful show will feature "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison, and "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns and Roses. It showcases our struggles and triumphs, the good days, the bad ones, and everything in between. We know that mental health is not highlighted the same way for everyone, and we hope that we will represent a positive message in a world that may not be so forgiving. Join us on tour for the premiere of "13 Holes" on a floor near you!

Buchanan High School Indoor Buckline: 13 Soldiers

Per the title, our season 113 production will pay tribute to the sacrifice our fallen brethren made to give us the freedoms we enjoy every day. Newly arranged for indoor percussion, we take Randall Standridge's "Letters from a Prisoner of War" and unleash a powerful quest to honor those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. We sincerely hope that we can represent our military with class, and we hope to see you at a show as we honor "13 Soldiers"!

Thank you all for letting us continue to bring the joy of music across the globe! We hope to make you all proud, and more importantly, hungry for MORE as we get our upcoming tours underway. See you soon!
