With a heavy heart, the Petaling Jaya Group would like to announce that both of our organizations — Petaling Jaya Sound and Petaling Jaya Irama — will be taking a break for an indefinite period.

The reason for this decision is to allow our members to attend to their personal matters and/or individual passions. With the new year, many of our members are now entering varsity education; we, as an organization, understand the utmost importance of quality education, and thus we would like our members to take all the time they need to settle into this new environment.

Furthermore, Chinese New Year aka Lunar New Year is arriving soon. Our organization would like our members to return to and spend time with their respective families after plenty of gruelling months competing overseas. Chinese New Year is the time of prosperity and familial unity, and it is no doubt important for both our members AND staff to be able to return to their families and enjoy a time of peace, prosperity, and happiness.

For those who are still keen on Drum Corps action, Petaling Jaya Sound would like to announce a partnership with Si Feng DBC, wherein members who are keen on performing in another season of FMA will be offered an audition with NO REGISTRATION FEE, with accommodation and transport fully provided by Petaling Jaya Sound. Members who pass the audition will be offered short-term contracts with Si Feng DBC, until the return of Petaling Jaya Sound.

Depending on the situation, Petaling Jaya Sound may return in Season 111 of FMA. In the event that the members and staff require more time off, the break will be extended.
