The Vikings Drum & Bugle Corps out of Belmont, Michigan has hired three-time FMA champion Doug Olmstead as Executive Director to head this new project. Doug Olmstead comes out of retirement after many years to lead a fledgling corps in this new area of dance and music arts.

Their inaugural show for Season 102 will be "Mead and Mayhem" and will feature several folk songs in the sea shanty theme.

"Coming in mid-season will be a challenge, but we look forward to meeting it head-on and building a good foundation for our first truly competitive show for Season 103," Mr. Olmstead said when asked on the Vikings' late start for Season 102.
