Cigarette smoke...neon lights...a desert breeze...virtue and vice...in FMA’s 88th season, The Golden Cohort is pleased to present something completely different:
‘Arabian NITEZ,’ a big band reimagining of the iconic Middle East anthology, where Shahryar is an underworld kingpin and Scheherazade is a singer at a seedy club. The Cohort will escort you through the mean streets of post-war Casablanca as we also pay tribute to some of the best jazz musicians ever. Our repertoire includes:
Thermopolae by Stan Kenton
Cherokee by Clifford Brown
Passion Flower by Oliver Nelson
and A Night in Tunisia by Dizzy Gillespie
