Transcending the Threshold: A Catalyst for Success
Today, in commentation of our 8th year since founding and in preparation for our 70th Anniversary season, the SIA Organisation is proud to present our program across all our performing groups, "Transcending the Threshold".
The Oxford Dictionary defines 'Threshold' to be the magnitude or intensity that must be exceeded for a certain reaction, phenomenon, result, or condition to occur or be manifested.
As such, this show intends to portray the quest of someone trying to break through their mental barriers to unleash their unlimited potential, in a form of hitting a 'runners high' during a marathon. But the show also symbolically intends to portray people’s highest goals and the desire to push beyond their supposed earthbound limits to achieve something greater than themselves. This is what I've envisioned this organisation to be: constantly striving to better than it's last best effort.
This show consists of five acts:
Act 1: The Starting Line (Opener)
Prelude from Spitfire Prelude and Fugue - William Walton

Act 2: Taking the first step
Enter the Galaxies - Paul Lovatt-Cooper

Act 3: Overcoming Hurdles

Act 4: Transcending the Threshold (Ballad)
Already Gone - Sleeping at Last

Act 5: Keep going! (Closer)

"Dont watch the clock; do what it does - keep going." - Sam Levenson
The more time we spend while beyond our personal threshold, the more competent we become facing situations we once struggled handling.
