General discussion thread. How does everyone feel about this season?

We shall see. Turner County came back this season after almost 20 seasons not participating and making top 10 in finals. Hiring a new band director and staff paid off. Let's see what happens this season.

I'm feeling good. My shows were all financial successes, I'm looking to upgrade a lot of staff this season.
I didn't make any scheduling errors this season, and all of my groups can compete in my own shows this year!
Also, I don't know why, but I struggle to get applications for my percussion shows. I don't know why, but people just aren't applying.

I'm also struggling to get applications for most of my events. Color Guard especially

I had the same issue last season. My other 3 shows filled up 90-100% plus. My drumline competition: 9 applicants total. I still profited, but not by much.

I agree. I am struggling extremely getting applicants this year. But I am excited for our performances.

I dont need the money since my staff is maxed but my shows are usually full in a few days and this season I'm only half full currently -- maybe there was a big drop in players? like JoeBraeuner seemed to just drop off out of nowhere last season and not returned.

It looks like there just aren't a lot of players this season. The home page only says there's 191 groups. Even February 22nd, the only show is only a single drumline show.

This season is going to be very good for my guard and drum corps. I just have this feeling. It would be ironic if they did bad though haha.

Ummmmm what? I'm not competing this season, but my color guard got bumped down to D2? I got a 94 and 8th lol what

All my groups are still D2. I'm hoping to have a very successful season because of this!

The human did you not practice much before Wed?

No I didn't, Im not competing this season. Thats probably why, but I hope I'm back in D1 next season.

Hi to everyone!! I new to the forums on FMA and only my third season competing. Hoping to continue improving my groups. Still have a long way to go, but very excited about FMA!! Wish I had know about it sooner!! Good Luck to everyone!!

Ya that's probably why. If you start right off next season I'm sure you'll be back in Div 1

Any pre-season rankings for any of the D3 Drumlines, guards, corps, or marching bands? I know my order for the top 5 corps is 1. Grey Vandals 2. Lynx 3. Rocketeers 4. Legends 5. Organized Chaos. It was surprising for me to see Avengers and Bluegrass to get moved up to D2 while the Lynx nor Vandals got moved despite having critical point leads ahead of both corps in finals of last season

Yeah how did those corps move up to D2? Seems weird that they went up a division.

They probably upgraded their staff
