Wen-Org groups are going to remain completely inactive this season (not even fundraising). The organization as a whole has not been very successful in the past year and we feel like a break from the circuit would be benifical for both our members and our staff. We cannot Guarantee a soon return, but we will definitely come back with a new mindset and a more successful program for all.

As for me, you may still find me in the forums from time to time, but there will be no activity in the competitions itself. If that means an ejection from my status as board of director in some leagues, then I understand.

9 years old....

Technically I joined sometime the first week of FMA version 1. I then joined FMA 2 on the first day but I did go inactive for a while after season 2. I did not play FMB which was before FMA 1 so someone may have me beat there.

We’re halfway through the season now. How’s everyone been doing so far?

I'm extremely surprised how well I'm doing. This is the first season in Div 2 for all my groups except my marching band (this is their second). My corps is 6th, marching band is 3rd, guard is third, and drumline 2nd.

Also, why is there almost always those one or two groups at the top of div. 2 who are 6-10 points above 2nd or 3rd? Really unfair.

IMO it's because of the lack of activity and how the system for divisional placements dont work with the amount of activity we have now. Your last sentence leads me to believe you're pointing to my drum corp and the second place drum corp. Where the top 2 drum corps in D2 are is where the top 2 D3 corps or 6th or 7th D2 corps would be 30 seasons ago. And a few groups shouldn't be in D1 but because when the game was at it's peak there was not a lot of chance to be top of D1 but it gave D2 groups a chance. But its not really working anymore. The system is too lenient with dropping groups.

So how's everyone's season going? All my groups are breaking their record this week. I'm concerned for my corp, we're only going up like .6-.7 a day while the second place group is going up a whole point. It's gonna suck because it looks like in semis and prelims I'll be 1st but be brought down to 2nd in finals but we'll have to see.

It's been pretty solid. I've been doing some campaigning this year, and it looks like my color guard might take over the top Influence spot by the end of next season!

Been doing a full influence campaign this season. I'd like to actually win sometime.

The division II guard and drumline is very close top 3 are within 2 points of each other.

Woah my D3 marching band jumped from about 20th place to 6th place tonight! I'm honestly in shock wow!

One thing I've noticed, especially in Div III, is that there are a lot of "forgotten" groups. Tons of groups don't get rehearsed, and their scores never improve throughout the season. In my first season, which I started halfway through it, 2 of my groups managed to make Div III finals.
