Hello everyone.
As of tomorrow, my high school marching band career will come to an end. (Not including parade in the spring, but that doesn't count.) I joined this site my freshman year, and since my life has changed into one of discipline, musical ability, and a constant incentive to have a good work ethic. Through the years I have found myself, and what I'm truly meant to do with my life after the tutorial mode finally comes to an end. In the marching community, I have been bombarded with lifetime friends and this amazing hobby/ career choice that has inspired me to become a better person. From watching hours of drum corps videos on Youtube, to pushing through that last hour of night rehearsal just to come home to piles of homework, I'm learning that music can do so much more for somebody then before they joined the activity. Being able to speak this universal language and having career opportunities beyond imagination is truly something special and is something that I will take advantage of in the next few years.
As of marching band, I'm not done. I have vowed to myself that I need to do at least one season of drum corps before I get to 21. Competitive marching is not something that I am willing to give up because my 4 years of high school is up, it is a true passion of mine and I really hope I can get myself to that point. It might take a few summers, because I already know that I'm not going to be able to afford it next year, but I will find a way.

I guess I'm just nostalgic and sad now. I'm trying to find a way to stay happy but it feels like everything I have worked for is rapidly coming to an end (Even though I know I'm going to be doing this after high school.)
All I know is that it's going to be a damn good run-through.
Thank you, FMA, for being with me as I went through this journey. Can't wait to join those of you who have went on to becoming college students, professors, and music/marching staff. I'm ready to take the next step.
