I'm trying out for drum major again even after i didn't get it last year! (You might remember me talking about that). I'll keep y'all posted :)

Although i was never a drum major, i was a band captain my senior year. What i can say is, be confident. Even if you mess up or there is something you dont understand, act like you do. Dont show any kind of reservations in front of your bandmates. If you display confidence, it goes a long way. You have time to learn, but for the time being just show confidence. Itll tell your director that you can handle the pressure. All the technical stuff comes later

Remember that you're somewhat ahead in the game because you have already tried out once. You know how the process will go because you've been through it. You've got this Tyler!

(We have 2 drum majors. A junior and a senior. In previous years, my director has let a second person in either class be drum major, but it has been a while. While possible, not likely).
