Personally, I adore them, and I love the look they add. It’s sad that not Corps use them now, like the old Madison Scouts and Blue Devils for some years, and then 27th Lancers for their entire existence. Some I know are against it, but what’s FMA’s opinion?

I am a sub for a group based in Rochester NY called "The Hitmen Brass Band" and we wear spats. It kinda a weird thing but its a very old school style which works with the group aesthetic. I personally find them rather annoying to wear, but they don't look the worst.

I think for the old school look or it's great, just doesn't fit with the more modern looks
