9th right now but that was after Phantom didn't perform last night. I hate to say that all of this matters so early on, but it's definitely something to watch. Excited to see the show at all, even though I probably can't see it live this season. Really hoping that they finally make finals!

Just went digging, in 2016, when the top 15 all performed for the first time on the same night, Madison was in 8th, Phantom was in 6th, and Academy was in 15th. But then again, last year, with that same benchmark, the top 12 started as the top 12. I'm very much of the mindset that nothing REALLY matters across the board until San Antonio, but I'm still a score nerd for everyone

it's always interesting to see the first few scores and placements and then compare to their scores near finals. Last year bluecoats were in front for a week or so until scv and bd started to get higher scores. SCV and BD ended in top 2 while bluecoats got 5th. It'll be interesting to see how this year goes as well.

Looking at Cavs score and it seems pretty impressive! Wonder if they could be a contender for top 3?

Idk what sorta difference there is between show judges and comparative scoring but seeing BAC in that 2nd place spot is making my eyes SUPER wide rn.

Technically SCV beat BD by 1.35 points, but I agree with you! The spread between Bloo, Crown and BD is insane! A lot of placement changes also between Blue Knights, Blue Stars and Phantom Regiment. I sincerely believe this season is SCV's to take, but 2nd and 3rd place is still a toss up!

SCV is surely winning, but as much as a BD fan I am, It would be interesting to see them place outside the top 4 for the first time in almost 30 years or so.

Maybe BAC will climb their way up and knock on Crown’s door? All I know is that phantom and the scouts need to do a lot of evaluation over the offseason

Scouts need to put hats on to make them look like the scouts, and march confidently.
Phantom needs to make the tarp blue to match the guard and reduce the height of the wall.
I think they'd feel more like themselves if they did those simple things.
Easier said than done.
