Only found out about this today, what a tragic time for all of drum corps and the marching world

Yeahhh. I kinda have a feeling these are false allegations.

I have never been a Hopkins hater like many, clearly done a lot for the activity, HOWEVER, given what has been surfacing from years, I am thinking it gives credibility to this being more likely than not. Not to mention given who he is currently dating, makes it even more suspect, at the very least didnt look good for him. YEA! handled this HORRIBLY as well. DCI, I thought did much better even though they have taken some heat. I do think that the end of days arent in sight like some people say. I think sadly this is a sign of the times we are in that it impacts all parts of society, including drum corps. I hope all organizations look within for issues and I hope the Cadets bounce back quickly because the members dont deserve the retribution to come to them for his issues.

I don't think we should be try to be calling it fake accusations right away. He was accused by nine women. Yeah yeah, innocent till proven guilty but now we should be empathetic. Thoughts to the victims. DCI getting attention for all the wrong reasons at the moment.

I'm not taking a side, I just have a gut feeling. I've never been a cadets fan, or a fan of Hopkins, but nowadays you never really know who's telling the truth. About anything. Think about this: if they ARE false accusations, then they got what they want. And the man who has been a part of this activity for decades had to go out in a dishonorable way. Idk, you kinda have to look at it from both sides and stay neutral until somethings proven.

The entire Cadets BOD was just sacked, so I doubt the accusations are entirely false.

ya just saw the BOD is gone too--I think the problem on their side is they were so beholden to him that they basically did nothing...even ridiculously false accusations deserve more attention then they gave this. suspend him while they review, they make a decision after talking to the accuser. Any group with an HR department would do that very thing, unless your just covering....

Now Cadets on probation!!

It'll be interesting to see how the YEA Organisation will bounce back from this, especially with the DCI season kicking off not too far from now

YEA might be in for rocky ride, but given the new board I think Cadets will be fine and are in good hands. I think there are many reasons the change will do them good. Might take some work this season, but I bet as a new (permanent.?) Director settles in and finds their own style, it will improve the overall organization
