So I'm still in the stage where my groups don't have as much influence as they should in order to get into an over-applied show. Did you guys ever take an influence season? I've been considering it, but I'm not sure if it's the best route. Its getting especially hard to get into non-league events now that there isn't that many of them. I've kinda relied on doing good with my groups for being a source of the influence but I've been busy and when I actually do do good with them it doesn't really affect the influence that much.

I still haven't figured this out yet - Does higher influence = higher scores?

Higher influence gives you more points to work with when you're "auditioning performers" so yes, it increases scores, but not by much.

I never took an influence season, even when I marched DCI. I would try to run my groups like normal (and fail).

At this point in the game where everyone is starting to max out, influence could technically be more *ahem* "influential" ( ha. haha.) than it has been in the many previous seasons.
