who is ready for the new season? I know I am! Still anxious to hear several shows that havent been announced yet. the ones I am most excited about so far are Vanguard and Crusaders--both look pretty cool based on theme and song choices

I'm sure people won't screw up Eclectic unless they are literally reading it for the first time. I would hope they actually read this stuff beforehand but yah never know lol

Those crown and cavies unis for next year tho.... Drum corps is about to go through another phase again where everything changes.

Loooove a lot of the new unis this year. Also crown show name isn't eclectic. "It Is" is apparently the title lol.

Not sure how I feel about the crowns unis... I like everything but the hats... Not sure how it's gonna look from up top but they just seem really weird to me

Just got back from the theater.

Crossmen - Didn't leave with a strong impression of the Crossmen. Not like I thought they were bad, I think they are just getting lost in the shuffle of everything else on my mind. Look forward to seeing them again.

Blue Stars - Really enjoyed the show! They were moving and playing a ton (I know, that's the name of the game) and I can't wait to see them with months of cleaning and adjustments under their belt. The Lady Marmalade segment (specifically the voice patches) felt weird and out of place, but otherwise there's a lot to like.

Cadets - I really liked those uniforms, and the transition they went through. I don't know Mass at all, so I'll need to do some studying to fully appreciate what they're doing I think. Unlike one of the corps that followed, I thought that Cadets really utilized vocals well.

Cavaliers - I loved the clever ways they layered their songs together. I think by the end of the season all the little details that they are sure to include will make this show incredible to watch. Similar theme to XtraordinarY, but this sort of thing suits the Cavaliers well.

Carolina Crown - The singing ruined it. Design staff dropped the ball big time. I know this isn't what the final product will look like, but after the first 4-6 minutes left me breathless the last chunk of the show left me pissed off. I almost left the theater to get snacks instead of watching the end of Crown's show. That really sucks, because for the last ten years Crow has been my favorite corps more often than not. I know there will be adjustments but there better be some big adjustments if the mess that is the second half of this show is gonna be fixed.

Bluecoats - It's nice that they decided to revive Down Side Up.
