The Peachtree Arts Group has been feeling a little punkish recently...
Both groups have shows derived from Green Day's rock opera "American Idiot".
Pride of Peachtree will bring their show "The Epic of Saint Jimmy" to stadiums across the nation in season 60. This show focuses on the punk freedom fighter of St Jimmy throughout the album. The repertoire of the show is as follows
Movement One: "St Jimmy"
Movement Two: "She's A Rebel" and "Know Your Enemy"
Movement Three: "Dearly Beloved" and "Tales From Another Broken Home" (parts IV and V of "Jesus of Suburbia")
Movement Four: "The Death of St Jimmy" (part I of "Homecoming") and "American Idiot"
The corps' feeder band, the Peachtree Cadets, are following a similar theme with their program "Holy Scriptures of the Shopping Mall", which moreso follows the rock opera's main character, Jesus of Suburbia. The selections for their program are
Pre-show: "We're Coming Home Again" (part V of "Homecoming")
Movement One: "Jesus of Suburbia" (part I of "Jesus of Suburbia")
Movement Two: "Holiday"
Movement Three: "City of the Damned", "Dearly Beloved", and "Tales From Another Broken Home" (parts II, IV, and V of "Jesus of Suburbia")
Movement Four: "American Idiot" and reprise of "We're Coming Home Again"
We hope these two programs will have stadiums across the nation rocking! See you on the field!
