Raising influence to help raise money for other bands...

Some of us would appreciate it very much if you could start raising your influence so we can get more people to come to the competitions. And in turn gain at least some money from hosting a competition...

Why would you want to raise money for other bands? This would give them a better chance at beating you.

well i think that it is curteous to do so cause they spent the money to make the competition in the first place...

how about this. no one rais their influence, then no one will want to create competitions because they will be losing money, then their will be no competitions at all until finals week. how does that sound cire?

Keep in mind that you also gain influence from performing at a show, therefore it is beneficial for both the host AND the performing group!

This is a game. Its not in our interests to help other corps gain money. Its a very fine line between getting enough influence to make people want you at their shows and not getting too much as to make their shows sell out.
My tip to the OP- dont accept people with low influence to your shows. Simple!

actually, that's what i was going to come say. people aren't going to accept you into a competion if you have no influence unless they are not paying attention. another point is that if you have a really high influence then you can put yourself into your own show to gain an audience.

lets be smart here people. u should obviously only confirm corps with large amounts of influence. thus corps without any influence will struggle to find any competitions to compete in. im only confirming people with over 500 influence

The downside of it (if you care) would be that corps with higher influence will also probably be harder to beat.

well these are obviously corps that at this point r devoting most the energy to creating influence, not actually working on the skill level of their corps

I have my marching band gaining influence and my drum corps gaining money. I'll see which direction I like the most.

Also, remember, if you host a show and you perform at your own show, your influence will also affect attendance there.
