Hey everyone Kat is here to give you the daily report on FMA's Color Guard circuit! Today is August 1st, only two days away from FMA Season one prelims! Today there were 3 guard events, Guard Gala being the largest event bringing in an audience of 764.

Guard Gala brought in a large amount of very talented groups, many of them being in the top 12 of their class over all. Especially in Division 1, which brought Perception Winterguard (1), V (3), Southmore Hill Royal Guard (4), SoW Cornpuffs (6), Republic Venue (7), Angelus Winterguard (9), and Citrus Guard (11). So Division 1 was a very close competitive class at this competition. The guard mentioned above were the top 7 in this competition.

Division 2 also had some competition with two top 12 guard competing in their class. Those two being Richland HS World Guard who took the gold and currently resides 7th place overall. The other top 12 group that was the was Saint Charles Independent who took the silver and is 9th overall in their class. Also competing in division 2 was Purple Rhapsody Visual Ensemble who took 3rd place.

Division 3 only had one group in the competition which was Solidarity who of course graced first place for their class.


Overall Guard Gala was an excellent competition and had many great groups there!


Another competition that was going on tonight was The Display of Colors which featured many great groups as well.

Division 1 only had two competition groups who were Darkness Guard who took first but they are currently 2nd overall in Division 1. The other group competing was Wonder Girls who is currently 10th overall in Division 1.

Division 2 featured all top 12 guards. Taking first was Infinity Winterguard who is currently residing in first place over all. In second place was Phantom's Crown who is third overall. Aurora Colorguard took third place and is fifth over all. Phantom's Crown and Aurora Colorguard are very close score wise less then .6 away from each other which promises a close race during finals. Layers was also there who placed 4th and is 11th overall.

Division 3 had five top 12 guard along with 4 other excellent groups. In first was The Color Cadets who had the second highest score overall at the whole competition. They are currently first place for their division. In second place was Trojanettes who is 4th overall and in third was Exhale who is 5th overall.


The other event that went on this night was Royal Invitational. This competition had many excellent groups such as Nobles of Grace (Div 1, 8th place overall), Ripple Effect, Guard of the Valley, Piedmont Royals, and Crimson Flyers who took the top five places in division one. The other divisions had very small but fierce competition. Division 2 has Cherubim take the gold and in Division 3 the only group was Spinning Dragons who obviously took the gold.
