My college band director is actually the director at Cedar Crest HS! I know a lot of the PA schools so there's no point in naming them all, but in addition to my old high school, Hatboro-Horsham has a great program all around, and the same with Upper Moreland and Upper Darby. I don't know all of the states and their marching band programs, but I would hazard to guess that Pennsylvania is near the top in terms of having great bands. Definitely nowhere near like Texas or anything, but there's still certainly a high level of competition.

What is the tour theme for this season?

Would it be bad if I started to apply for non league events? I don't want all the space to run out on the events on the says we don't have league events, and I don't know when the schedule would be. Like I want to help out with the league but I also want to have a chance of branching off and competing with other groups that I'll be seeing in championships.

As someone that runs a few leagues, I can say that that really doesn't bother me when members apply to non-league events when the schedule is not out. I do think, though, that you should keep championship Tuesday open, just in case.

Also, I want to remind everyone that it is not a requirement to join any of the league events. The events are there for those who need them or want to join them. If you get accepted to non-league events, that's no problem. Though, I appreciate that you want to support the league and compete against fellow league mates. I apologize for the delay. Take care.

And to all my ENCORE mates, I do apologize. To sum it up, my commitments to work, family, and of course, my new life as a University of Texas at Arlington student have really impacted my commitments here at FMA.
Being a member of the BOD team really makes my AWOL-ness really look bad, and so I really do apologize for my absence here at FMA. I'd like to start getting involved again now that the year's heading towards the holiday season!

I have a tour idea!

Events are at locations used for Bands of America regionals and super-regionals.

Championships in Indianapolis, Sunday of Week 5 could be Indianapolis Super Regional. If you want, you could have each week be a certain area of the country and end that week with their "local" super-regional.

Just a thought.
