If you're logging on for the first time since last night's finals, you'll have probably noticed that the game has not reset to the pre-season mode in which we begin anew with show preparation, etc. I've digged around in the forums and apparently some conspire that FMA was only meant to do 50 seasons; if we want to have S51 and beyond, we might have to wait on FMA's creator, Alex, to come online and help fix this mess. Unfortunately, Alex is a busy man, and that might take a while.
Regardless of whatever happens, I would like to encourage everyone to still prepare for S51 like IT WILL HAPPEN. Post your ideas, as I will do just that right now.
Invictus Drum and Bugle Corps had truly made a statement throughout the entire 50th season of FMA by placing on the podium for either bronze, silver, or gold except for nine circumstances in which they did not. Throughout the entire season, they lead the entire Division II Drum Corps Class in Music (Winds), and scored a stunning 9.175 in that caption in FMA's Finals yesterday night. While the staff thought that they would at least be in the Top 5, 6th place was nevertheless a very respectable position since they had just come out of a long hiatus prior to S50. To continue this plan of success, Invictus Drum and Bugle Corps would like to reveal their new show, "Coming of Age." The show is the story of a typical child that details their life from their birth into this world, through childhood, the awkwardness and pains of the teenage years, and finally the realization of what manhood/womanhood is about. The song list is detailed below.
"Coming of Age"
Intro (Birth): "Maestoso" (Organ Symphony/Symphony No. 3) - Camille St. Saens/"Ode to Joy" (Symphony No. 9) - Ludwig van Beethoven
First Movement (Childhood/Dreams): "The Bear Necessities" - The Hit House
Second Movement (Teen Years/Nightmares): "Writing's on the Wall" - Sam Smith
Finale (Manhood/Womanhood): "Also Sprach Zarathustra" - Richard Strauss
Similar to their Drum Corps brethren, Der Reich Blaskapelle had also experienced stunning success in season 50, cracking the Top 10 of the Division II Marching Band Class and leading the class with Music (Winds) with the top score of 9.135 in that caption. Their staff, since relocating to South Dakota from Germany, has nothing but praise and respect for their members, though their high standards still stand. In S51, Der Reich will be performing "1000 Dances." This show is dedicated to the history of dances during humanity's existence for over a millennia on this Earth.
"1000 Dances"
Intro (Pax Romana): "Danse Bacchanale" - Camille Saint-Saens
First Movement (Golden Ages): "Arabian Dances" - Brian Balmages
Second Movement (Dark Ages): "Danse Macabre" - Camille Saint-Saens
Third Movement (Renaissance): "The Infernal Galop" - Jacques Offenbach
Fourth Movement (Enlightenment): "Satiric Dances" - Norman Dello Joio
Finale (Modern Times): "In The Mood" - Glenn Miller
Kanpeki Drumline is, out of all the groups, deserving of the most praise and their staff certainly has not done anything to hide their appreciation of their members through social media and any other appropriate means due to their spectacular success in the Division III Drumline Class. They took the podium on Saturday night, earning the bronze medal for their unceasing efforts during the entire 50th season of FMA. Head of Directors Takeuchi Yokohama will be hard at work developing the drumline's new show for the upcoming 51st season of FMA. Though their work is still in progress, Mr. Takeuchi has revealed the theme of their show: " The Journey to the West"
