Attending a contest

Do you sign up to attend (not compete) a contest. I'm new to this and don't understand it fully yet. If you do, how.

You can not sign up to attend a contest without being scored while there. You send a request to be scheduled for the contest to compete. However, you can observe the scores at the other contests by clicking the 'Schedule' tab and clicking the contest you would like to see to see your friends' or other peoples' scores! And you don't have to pay to sign up for a contest. Does this help?
