ROTC and FLAG present a battle of leagues on Monday, September 28th. The winning league gets bragging rights and the right to choose who the next host will be from their league.

Each league will earn points based on where everyone places in their divisions. For instance, the first place finishers in each division earns 30 points for their leagues. One league could place 1st in all divisions and earn 90 points.


..2nd place is 25
..3rd place is 20
..4th is 18
..5th is 15
...6 is 10
...7 is 5
....8 and below is 1 point.

If you are interested in representing your league, please apply soon. I will accept an even number of groups from each league and will accept each group on a first come, first served basis.

Sorry, ROTC, but out of fairness to FLAG (and keeping teams even), I cannot accept your applications until more FLAG groups apply.

That was my main concern. The number of "active" FLAG groups are quite variable.

Well if I have to, I can accept non-FLAG and ROTC groups and make a separate team. They can be the independent team. If the independent team wins, it's a draw, and we can decide from there who hosts the next one.

I'll hold off on that and give it a few days. It's been less than 24 hours since the event was created. I'm sure more FLAG groups will apply. Try to rally them.

currently there are 10 vs 10 . . not a bad turnout for the first one .. there are 7 independents. what makes it interesting to have these independents, they can steal points from us. hopefully we end up strong in all divisions. The winner is still who scores higher between FLAG and ROTC. Does this work for everyone?

So everyone is clear, you have to beat the independent teams if you want the points. For instance, if an independent team places 1st, neither ROTC or FLAG earns points for 1st place, and so on for each placement. Doing it this way keeps the game interesting and gives these independent teams some use in this match up.

Although ROTC is heavy in division 1, FLAG's division 2 balances that out. So the teams are pretty even, and I accepted everyone before divisions were assigned to avoid any bias. I like the way it worked out.

well think of it this way MrsRomo, what you lack in division1 you make up for it in division2. it looks unbalanced but the overall combined total of each division is what matters. and heck for all I know, your 3 division 1s could take 1st (30), 2nd (25), 3rd (20)! That would be 75 points for FLAG just off of 3 groups.

Oh I wasn't saying it was unbalanced or complaining, lol, I just thought it was funny that it happened to break down in division two the opposite it did in d1. :)

oh okay lol sorry. i knew you weren't complaining. I thought you might have been concerned about 6 vs 3, but yes it worked out really awesome. it's going to be close.
