Season 44 of Fantasy Marching Arts.
The Midland Valley Redcoats are thriving for success this season after placing 7th in division one finals in season 43. Last season was the best run so far since the reboot back in season 41. The Redcoats hope to continue and capitalize on their success with their season 44 production "Extraterrestrial". The show starts off with an invitation to explore off into space with the Redcoats in search of unknown extraterrestrial behind the theme of a trending song, Little Einsteins. The Redcoats then blast off into Star Treks, Enterprising of Young Men, an anthem that has been sounding off frequently in FMA since season one. After blast off, our journey then turns into chaos with a fusion of O Fortuna and Dies Irae. Systems errors and mechanical failure drifts our disabled ship into space which makes our riders paranoid enough to start hearing strange things, Celestial Soda Pop. As we begin to doubt all possible, we are eventually saved by the ET End Theme from having our brains eaten by space ghost. The Redcoats hope that their visual production is enough to rocket them into first place this season and win their very first division one championship.
The Spanish Park Regiment brings out their rock mood with the music of Queen. With a competitive effect to the show, the regiment belts out a short opening of Bohemian Rhapsody and pumps up the party with We Will Rock You and Another One Bites The Dust. Then the power ballad of Crazy Little Thing Called Love sings over the crowd which prepares them for a sing along in depth closer of Bohemian Rhapsody. The Regiment was rejected of a finals performance back in season 43 after finishing 13th in the semifinals. They hope to win the judges over with their high energy show.
Republic Venue returns to the competition with another great show for season 44. Free Fly is a contemporary production fused behind a jazz number. Scatting by Eleanor Dubinsky provides a different tone to the competition, music without a beat. Although if you listen closely, the number does have a fast paced count to it, but it also gives an opportunity for improvising. Republic Venue finished their season with a 12th place final finish and hope to improve upon that season.
The Big Bang Theory has voted to stay inactive for season 44. There is speculation for a return for season 45. The Pillsberry Dough Boy has been voted for President of the group.
