1989 Santa Clara Vanguard is probably my favorite show of all time. I couldn't tell you how many times I've listened to the show in its entirety.
All of the changes made for a hell of a finish!

with Aaron gone someone would need to step up to run. I dont mind stepping up to track scores, though might need help finding videos? I think Aaron might have given me access to something before. I may need to ask forgiveness too if I duplicated a corps we already did LOL

Wait so how does this work?

I want to resurrect this competition if people are interested. I have access to almost every top 12 show back to 1980 - I won't go that far back. If we get enough judges, I'll put together a lineup.

How it works is I create a weekly lineup of past shows and post links to the videos. For instance, week 1 could be Bluecoats 2014, Carolina Crown 2015, and Vanguard 2017, etc. Every week, the judges - those on this site that we get to participate, will choose a caption to judge. When the judges finish judging the weekly lineup, privately they send the scores to my inbox. I calculate the scores and post the results. Depending on how many videos I have access to, the weekly lineups consist of 3 or 4 shows. The top scoring shows each week advance to finals, which is held during FMA finals week and we judge the finals shows to determine a season winner.

Excellent! I already have the shows picked and arranged into weekly lineups. I'm hoping for, at least, 8 judges to cover all the captions. The rounds will begin on the first day of week 1 of season 70, but if we get enough judges on board during preseason, we can start it sooner.

Excited to do this once again!!
