This is sorta weird because I go to Ronald Reagan HS. :P

No problem! Join the fun this season. I understand the issue of being bias. Just don't be one of those judges ;) Keep an open mind. I loved Ronald Reagan's Beyond Perimeters. In my opinion, they easily could have won it.

As a member of Euless-Trinity's Marching Band (Rival to LD Bell), I nonetheless love seeing a HEB school place up with some of the greatest bands in the country. Can't wait to see when they place first in this competition!

By the way, anyone seen their 2013 production, "Siren Song?"

I've never seen LD Bell 2013. If I can find their Boa grand nationals performance, I'll add that show to one of the weekly match ups this season.

I don't want to push it, but another one that was in 2013, which actually won Grand Nationals is The Woodlands HS production "Crossing Boundaries."

There was a channel once that had their BOA Grand Nationals performance, but it appears to have been taken down, or simply, I can't find it again.

Hello FMA, it's time to once again begin our weekly match ups. If you judged last season you already know how to play.

For all you rookie judges, here is how it works. Pick a caption, watch the videos that I post (in the order that I post them), and privately send me your scores. I will create a spreadsheet with everyone's scores. The top two scoring bands each week move on to compete at finals (our week 5).

Also, some of you have asked whether you may judge more than one caption. Yes, you may, but if you do judge two captions, PLEASE watch the videos twice and only focus on one caption at a time. Therefore, we are getting the most accurate scores possible.

Furthermore, I know that this is just for fun (and for the love of the marching arts), but let's all be sensible judges. If you went to (or go to) one of these schools, don't score a group poorly, just because you want your band to win. Try to throw out all bias, and pretend as if you're really judging these shows for the first time. It helps if you only judge the areas with which you have the most experience or expertise.
