I made some stats based on all the Div 1 corps who won DCI.

I will post the actual stats in a few days but in the meantime....


Here are a few questions based on those stats (only related to corps who have won DCI). No cheating!

- After winning both years with a 40.74% and 28.57% win record.. the corps most likely make a comeback and win DCI after losing most of their shows in a year would be Phantom Regiment.

2. Which corps is most likely to stay on top and win DCI after winning the most shows in a single season?
- With 3 undefeated seasons, and only 2 years under a 90% win percentage, the corps most likely to finish out their winning season for gold would be the one of the most loved/hated corps out there... the Blue Devils.

3. Which corps has the lowest winning % in the season they won?
- In 2008 Phantom Regiment only won 8 out of the 28 shows they participated in easily making them the lowest season winning % corps with a 28.57%

4. Which year did BD lose the most shows and still win?
- The only year BD won with an under-80% winning record was in 1999.

5. Besides 2000, what was the highest winning % year for The Cadets?
- First impressions are the last impressions.. as is with the Cadets first year winning DCI. In 1983 The Cadets only lost 1 show ending the season with a 97.43% winning percentage. It was also their only 90%+ season (besides 2000 when they went undefeated)

6. What year did Cavies win while only winning 60.6% of their shows?
- A lot of people were rooting for the deathly Blue Devils to win this year, who lost in the end in part to the Cavaliers 1995 show.

7. SCV Only won 45% of their shows in what year?
It would be 7 years after this year before SCV would win again, maybe it would be to rebuild after only winning 9 out of their 20 shows in 1981.

8. Which corps broke the high score record while losing 71.43% of their shows?
In 2008 Phantom Regiment narrowly edged out Blue Devils on Finals for the gold. This was a bit of a surprise considering they lost almost 3/4 of all of their shows that year. Blue Devils B also was narrowly beat Finals night by SCV Cadets.. both BDA and BDB came back for revenge the next year with an undefeated show

9. What corps in one year won winning 93.33% of their shows, and another year won winning only 44.82% of their shows?
Always a fan favorite, not always the judges favorite.. the Madison Scouts only lost one show in 1975 and 16 shows in 1988.

10. Which corps in all of their years winning, only won 34.54% of their shows?
Winning only 19 out of 55 competitions in the years they won, this honor easily goes to Phantom Regiment.
