My guard competed in a competition and they got tenth. I went to see the other scores and the next lowest score was over 72. I got a 56 and I was just wondering how its possible that they scored this high at only the first competition? Yes it's division two and the scores are supposed to be a little higher than your average group but I never would have thought that they'd be that high at the first competition.
Also, there were ten groups in division three (there were only division two and three groups at this competition) and the groups in first through eighth place got above a 70! This also came as a surprise to me.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is how can the scores be so high this early in the season and how can there be such a big gap inbetween scores??

Groups from the colonial leagues always start out with high scores, but dont progress much. Dont be surprised if u pass them. U just have to practice consistantly

At this particular competition, all of the groups in D2 except for me are members of CAoG...

Happens a lot, you'll see the groups that rehearse consistently will be the ones that end up on top, especially in D2-3. Now if those groups that are already there rehearse like maniacs then they'll stay in the spots, if not then another group will... wait for it... rocket up (rocket, get it? ... space....) to the top of the rankings.
The season my Mars group won D2, we started off... I think in the bottom half of the top half of the D2 corps, I think.... and we didn't get a show in until week 2, because of low influence, needless to say we claimed D2 in the name of Mars in season 31.
Anyway, like they said, rehearse like awesome and then win some stuff.

Some of those guards have probably been at it for a while, so high level staff may certainly help their scores.

I promise I'm not one of those maniacs who devotes every single second to this game. I make sure my groups have good levels and all but... I have real life things that need a lot of attention too.
And lol Solaris :)

Staff levels are what will allow FMA groups to start out in the 70's for a beginning score. The staff levels determine a groups potential Show challenge Level. Each Show Challenge level will raise a groups score roughly 1.5 points. If you think D2 scores are high by starting in the 70's wait till you look at the beginning scores for D1 Guard. It is quite normal for top D1 Guards to start out with as high as an 87.
Good Luck. Raise staff & Show Challenge levels & you too will ascend the FMA Ladder.
