It was awesome! I got a 'Letter of intent' which is basically the corps promising me a contract when they become a open class drum corps!

Have you heard anything about being an open corps yet?

Does any of my ice league mates need any more groups to attend their shows? I still have a pretty open schedule if anyone needs some attendence

We won't know until after our April camp in about 2 weeks, because DCI will be sending a rep to evaluate us. Sadly I won't be able to be at that camp so I won't know anything until may probably.

So the camp for Freedom was this last weekend, and the DCI official didn't come out because we had to have at least 30 members pre-register, and there were only 27 people who signed up to come, but about 45 people ended up coming. Since we didn't meet that requirement, we are automatically a Exhibition corps for this summer! We won't be able to compete, but we will be performing at 6 shows this summer, which will be Mustang OK, Broken Arrow OK, Great Band KS, Denton TX, St. Louis MO, and Branson MO! I hope to see a few of you guys over the summer, and would love if you can make it out to see Freedom perform for our first year! thanks guys!

Aw that's too bad, but at least you get to perform! Hopefully next year everything. Will be squared away and y'all can compete! I don't think you will be anywhere near me or I'd come watch. Have fun the summer!!

I'm hoping to stay up a little while later to get shows going d the season switches over tonight. If not it will be done sometime tomorrow morning. Just a reminder to keep the first day of each week open for league contests, as well as the last day go regular season for the championship event! :)

I'll post an overview of the season and how we all did as soon as I can get to a computer, because doing this from my phone sucks, lol. Be looking for that during preseason week probably...I figured it would help kill the time between seasons.

Soooo...ICE's Opening Ceremonies are called FLAG Opening Ceremonies. Ooops. I'm still asleep. lol But contests are going up right now!

This weekend is the Kentucky Derby. I miss being in Louisville for the Derby. When I was in marching band in college I got to perform for the derby and it was an awesome experience.
