Season 47 holds many surprises for the BOA league!
Starting next season, if more than 30 bands sign up to attend The Semi-Finals and Finals circuit each BOA will extend the limited number of finalists from 5 to 7 Finalist Bands! Become part of the history that changed FMA and compete for two new finals spots next season....as long as enough bands sign up!

Season 47 is now officially underway!

BOA is proud to usher in Season 47 with a wider array of options for all bands in the league!
The same schedule exists this year as always with an extent to a new event being hosted on the last contest day before FMA Championships!

BOA BOW!

BOW - short for Band of the World, is an event that BOA is kick starting to allow other leagues to participate in the success and joy of the BOA league but in a different fashion.

Contest Information

The contest will be alternately rotated by hosts being BOA and then a league band. That pattern will alternate every Season, so a Seasonal outlook will look something like this:

Season 47 - BOA Hosts
Season 48 - BOA Band Hosts
Season 49 - BOA Hosts
Season 50 - BOA Band Hosts
etc..

The idea is to allow other Non-BOA Bands to compete in a BOA Contest and allot themselves to our repertoire and tradition. The contest will work in the following manner.

There will be a Preliminary Event in which 30 Bands can attend. It will be open to anyone and everyone. In each Division, the top 3 bands will be honored as well as Division Champions. That night in Finals Performance, 10 Bands will advance to Finals and be placed regardless of Division. If in the event a Division Champion does not make Finals, they will perform in exhibition before Finals start!

BOW will hopefully act as a recruitment tool and a nice way to competitively invite other bands into our home here at BOA!

The Premiere Super Regional is an event held annually to start the season at BOA before the BOA bands can officially mingle with FMA groups other than us! BOA is excited to have you here today and may the best of luck be to you all!
Each class will have to caption awards followed by runner up and division champion. After Division awards will follow overall caption awards and the then announcement of the Top 10 Finals Placements with a Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals being honored to the Top 3 Bands! Good Luck!

Whats the Precursor?
The precursor is to choose who will host the first BOA BOW! The winning champion of BOA BOW will get those special honors! But it CANNOT be hosted on a BOA League Event Night!
