For Season 40, the uprising Great Lakes Sound Drum and Bugle Corps's goal is for a Division II Finals Berth, and a Top 10 finish. To do so, we put together a show that is sure to get the music fans on their feet. As Christmas is coming, and the winter snow falls, our show will reflect the season thereof.

Great Lakes Sound Drum and Bugle Corps Season 40 Show:
"The Nutcracker and the Mouse King"

featuring "Overture", "March (brass feature)", "The Battle (percussion feature)", "Divertissement (ballad and color guard feature)", and "Apotheosis" all by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky.

The show is based on the 1892 German book "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffman, that was later turned into a ballet. The story is of of a young girl: Marie Stahlbaum, and her favorite toy nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and takes her on a wild adventure to a magical kingdom populated by dolls to defeat the evil King of Mice.
