Hey everyone....hard to imagine early in the season there is only a 3 point difference between my A and B corps, especially since my A corps has a two season headstart and is in their 3rd DI season, while its first time around for the B boys and girls. Also, that spread also carries 6 places in the rankings. If you have a B group, how do they compare to your A group?
We are also working for a breakthrough finals spot for FAME after finishing a promising 16th moving up one spot from semis last season. Realistically though, we have to see that there are quite a lot more competitive corps then there were last season, and the majority of these happen to be in FAME also. I see a very good future ahead for FAME. Our key to success is everyone of you in our league. We have a strong group of corps, especially in DI at this point who came into FMA at approximately the same season, competed against each other, and became friends. This is such a strong groups that one day we will have 10-12 corps competing for a coveted finals spot.
Keep up the hard work guys and gals, you make FAME proud to have you here.

very nicely stated Jim, thank you
Having patience is difficult, well for me it is, but having patience is a virtue if you want to grow and become competitive. That's what most of us are doing. We might not compete this season or next, but it's all for the virtue of becoming competitive and successful. It takes much time to achieve in a few seasons what some have been working towards for 20+ seasons. I'm glad that everyone is hanging in there and supporting the league and each other. Every one of you make me a proud founder.
P.S happy Valentines day and have a great show tonight to finish an excellent week 1.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that this season, I will not be doing a full championship write up. There are simply too many groups lol. I will be doing a top 12 overall write up, which will include all divisions combined in one. However, i may also do top 3 write ups for divisions 2 and 3.

No prob :) That is totally understandable. I assumed that you would probably decide not to do a full write up because of how large this event will be.

Typically if I start fundraising on the first day of preseason, setting the campaign at 60 and having it double, I make about 40k. My only tips are set it at 60, start in preseason, and still try to rehearse to get some experience, but you'd only have to rehearse every 14 hours before your energy reaches its cap.

In addition, even though you don't plan to compete, I suggest still joining league events and helping out your league mates by attending their events, but of course, that's totally up to you :)

Yes, FAME is definitely making an impact this season. Can't wait for finals week. It definitely has been an interesting run. Having corps so close to a top 12 spot is awesome! This is step one for these great corps. In the next season or so, I see FAME corps making a serious top 3 run in DI. It takes patient, dedication, and determination. Values that all FAME corps have. Even with the corps making a top 12 run, FAME has arguably the best specialistf corps in FMA this season, putting the more established powerhouses on their heels as we shake up the order of things. Aftershock NZ and Aftershock NZ B have had undeniably one of the best brass sections and percussion sections of the season. The senior of these 2 has had their hornline as high as 2nd while their drumline spent a week trading 1st with CLASS act Blue Coats. In color guard, wow! What can we say? We have consistently maintained 5 of the top 12 spots for the majority of the season. Devil Crusaders currently ranked 2nd, followed closely by Spirit of Atlantis, Defiant Hearts, Phantom Legion, and Ghost Ryders.
So, with our sights set on top 12 finishes this season, we are also going to be spoilers for some corps' caption runs. Will be a shame to not see some of FMA's best hornlines, drumlines, and color guards in finals. But we will know in our hearts who should have walked away with the golden drum, bugle, or flag trophy.......best wishes to everyone with the most important week of your FMA life coming up.....

Thank you very much for the very nice words and encouragement. I'm trying my hardest to keep up with the older corps. It appears that we're close but other corps haven't had shows in a few days. It'll be interesting to see where everyone finishes.

I've missed so many rehearsals this season it isn't even funny. I do see the corps who campaigned do have an advantage over corps who never have, even if only 2-5 points! I may campaign next season, get my corps and head back into it. Not too sure yet.
