Looking for Leagues

I have a few invites, but I am curious which leagues are the best. Why are leagues important? Why should I join your league? ;)

Leagues are just for a real life aspect of the game. It helps to add some more competition, too! Right now the most prominent Corps leagues are MAoMA and CLASS. Drumline is mostly IAoIP. Guard is pretty split but I believe SWG is largest(?). Band is FBOA for the most part.
